The Erica Horst Flaig 9th Annual Memorial Golf Tournament
Dear Sponsors,
Erica Horst Flaig was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at the young age of seven. Her battle with this disease ended and she was called home to God on July 13, 2013. She leaves behind two young daughters, now ages 17 and 14 in the loving care of their grandparents. Erica’s family and friends organized the First Annual Erica Horst Flaig Memorial Fund Golf Classic in October 2013, in hopes of establishing a trust fund for her daughters.
On June 18th, 2020, our family lost Erica’s best friend, Alexis Matinchek Carnes, to a battle with Adenocarcinoma, a rare cancer of unknown origin. Alexis leaves behind her 8 year old daughter, Mila. After years of support from the Matinchek and Carnes family, we have combined efforts and the proceeds from the tournament will benefit Mila’s education fund as well.
Please join us in celebrating the lives of these beautiful women at the Ninth Annual Erica Horst Flaig Golf Classic to be held Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Sunset Golf Club. While our hearts are saddened by their loss, we cannot thank you enough for helping us carry on their memory and take care of what meant the most to Erica and Alexis.
